বাইরের দেশের বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলোতে মাস্টার্স কিংবা পিএইচডি প্রোগ্রামে ভর্তির ইচ্ছা জানিয়ে আবেদন করার সময় এক থেকে দুই পাতার একটি রচনা লিখতে হয়। একে বলা হয় স্টেইটমেন্ট অব পারপাস বা SOP।যারা বিদেশে স্কলারশিপ নিয়ে এমএস বা পিএইচডি করতে আগ্রহী এই পোস্টটা শুধুমাত্র তাদের জন্যে। অনেকে এ কাজে অনেক টাকা খরচ করে বিভিন্ন এজেন্সি থেকে লিখে নিচ্ছেন। অনুগ্রহ করে নিজে শিখে নিজেই লেখার চেষ্টা করুন। আর গবেষণা না শিখে এজেন্সির মাধ্যমে বড় অংকের টাকা খরচ বিদেশে যাওয়া যাবে । কিন্তু গবেষণা করতে না পারলে দেশে ব্যাক পাঠিয়ে দিবে । বি কেয়ারফুল! বাংলা ভাযায় এই লেখাটা কষ্টকর, তারপরও চেষ্টা করলাম।

Statement of Purpose (SOP) লেখার নিয়ম:

স্টেটমেন্ট অফ পারপোস (SOP) লেখার ক্ষেত্রে নিম্নলিখিত কাঠামো ও নির্দেশনা অনুসরণ করে আপনার প্রয়োজনীয় তথ্য এবং ব্যক্তিগত অভিজ্ঞতা সংযোজন করলে আপনি একটি শক্তিশালী আবেদনপত্র প্রস্তুত করতে পারবেন।

® এই ডিগ্রিগুলির মাধ্যমে আপনি কী শিখেছেন তা উল্লেখ করুন।

® আপনার শিক্ষাগত সাফল্য ও প্রাসঙ্গিক কোর্সগুলির উপর জোর দিন।

৩। গবেষণা অভিজ্ঞতা:

® আপনার গবেষণার ক্ষেত্র এবং কাজের বিবরণ দিন।

® গুরুত্বপূর্ণ গবেষণা প্রকল্প বা থিসিসের উপর আলোকপাত করুন।

® গবেষণায় ব্যবহৃত পদ্ধতি এবং আপনার অবদান উল্লেখ করুন।

৪। পেশাগত অভিজ্ঞতা:

® যদি কোনো প্রাসঙ্গিক কাজের অভিজ্ঞতা থাকে, তা উল্লেখ করুন।

® কাজের অভিজ্ঞতা আপনার গবেষণা দক্ষতা এবং জ্ঞান কিভাবে বৃদ্ধি করেছে তা বর্ণনা করুন।

৫। পিএইচডি করতে আগ্রহের কারণ:**

® আপনার পিএইচডি করার প্রধান কারণগুলি উল্লেখ করুন।

® কেন এই বিষয় নিয়ে গবেষণা করতে আগ্রহী তা ব্যক্তিগত অভিজ্ঞতা বা প্রেক্ষাপট দিয়ে ব্যাখ্যা করুন।

৬। শিকাগো বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে কেন পিএইচডি করতে চান:

® শিকাগো বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রোগ্রামের অনন্য বৈশিষ্ট্যগুলি উল্লেখ করুন।

® সেই বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে আপনার আগ্রহের অধ্যাপক বা গবেষণা প্রকল্পগুলি উল্লেখ করুন।

৭। ভবিষ্যৎ পরিকল্পনা:

® আপনার দীর্ঘমেয়াদী লক্ষ্য এবং কিভাবে পিএইচডি সম্পূর্ণ করে তা অর্জন করতে চান তা উল্লেখ করুন।

® বাংলাদেশ বা আন্তর্জাতিক পরিমণ্ডলে আপনার অবদান কীভাবে রাখতে চান তা বর্ণনা করুন।

৮। উপসংহার:

® আপনার লক্ষ্য পুনর্ব্যক্ত করুন এবং শিকাগো বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে পিএইচডি করার সুযোগ পাওয়ার জন্য আপনার আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করুন।

গবেষণা অভিজ্ঞতা:

আমার এমএস থিসিসে ‘মেরিন ফিশারিজ রিসোর্স ম্যানেজমেন্ট’ বিষয়ে গবেষণা করেছি। এ গবেষণায় মেরিন ইকোসিস্টেমের উপর মানব ক্রিয়াকলাপের প্রভাব পর্যবেক্ষণ করেছি এবং স্থায়ী ব্যবস্থাপনার জন্য সুপারিশ প্রদান করেছি।

পেশাগত অভিজ্ঞতা:

আমার শিক্ষা জীবনের পাশাপাশি বিভিন্ন ফিশারিজ ম্যানেজমেন্ট প্রকল্পে ইন্টার্নশিপ করেছি যা আমার গবেষণা দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধি করেছে। এই কাজের অভিজ্ঞতা আমাকে প্রাকটিক্যাল জ্ঞান প্রদান করেছে।

পিএইচডি করতে আগ্রহের কারণ:

মেরিন ফিশারিজের উপর গবেষণা করার জন্য পিএইচডি করার পরিকল্পনা করছি। আমার দেশীয় এবং আন্তর্জাতিক পর্যায়ে ফিশারিজ ব্যবস্থাপনায় অবদান রাখতে চাই।

শিকাগো বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে কেন পিএইচডি করতে চান:

শিকাগো বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ফিশারিজ বিভাগের গবেষণা কর্ম এবং অধ্যাপক ড. জন স্মিথের কাজ আমাকে অনুপ্রাণিত করেছে। এখানে গবেষণা করার সুযোগ পেলে আমার জ্ঞান আরও গভীর করতে পারবো।

ভবিষ্যৎ পরিকল্পনা:

পিএইচডি সম্পন্ন করার পর, বাংলাদেশে মেরিন ফিশারিজ ম্যানেজমেন্টে গবেষণা করতে চাই। আন্তর্জাতিক গবেষণায় অংশগ্রহণ করে জ্ঞান শেয়ার করতে চাই।
